Nov. 7, 2023—The Bridgeland and Cy-Fair high school volleyball teams advanced past the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and advance to the region quarterfinal, while Cypress Ranch, Langham Creek, Cypress Ridge and Jersey Village high schools concluded their seasons.

Bridgeland defeated Conroe Oak Ridge in three sets by scores of 24-14, 25-16 and 25-20. The Bears advance to play Conroe Grand Oaks at 5 p.m. on Nov. 7 at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

Cy-Fair defeated Fort Bend Ridge Point in five sets by scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-20, 26-28 and 15-11. The Bobcats move on to face Katy Cinco Ranch at 5 p.m. on Nov. 7 at Katy ISD’s Merrell Center (6301 S. Stadium Lane).

Tickets for Bridgeland and Cy-Fair are $5 each for adults and students and are sold online.

The Woodlands eliminated Cypress Ranch in five sets by scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-20, 21-25 and 15-9. The Mustangs were the District 16-6A champions and finished the season as area finalists.

Conroe Grand Oaks eliminated Langham Creek in three sets by scores of 29-27, 25-15 and 25-20. The Lobos were District 16-6A’s second seed and finished the season as area finalists.

Katy Tompkins eliminated Cypress Ridge in three sets by scores of 25-8, 25-7 and 25-14. The Rams were District 17-6A’s fourth seed and finished the season as area finalists.

Katy Cinco Ranch eliminated Jersey Village in three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-12 and 25-18. The Falcons were District 17-6A’s third seed and finished the season as area finalists.
