Bridgeland, Cy-Fair, Jersey Village win bi-district baseball titles, advance to area round playoffs
The Bridgeland High School baseball team advanced to the area round of playoffs beginning May 9 after winning the the District 16-6A, 15-6A Bi-District championship.
May 10, 2024—The Bridgeland High School baseball team defeated Klein Cain in a best-of-three series by the scores of 3-1 and 3-2, respectively, to win the 16-6A, 15-6A bi-district championship.
Cypress Ranch High School faced Klein Collins in a best-of-three series, defeating Klein Collins in game one and ended the series with scores of 1-0, 7-4 and 4-0, respectively, concluding the season as 16-6A district champions with a record of 21-12-1.
Cypress Woods High School faced Klein Oak in a best-of-three series and concluded the series with scores of 2-1, 3-0, 5-3, respectively, throwing a no hitter and defeating Klein Oak in game two. Cypress Woods ended the season with a record of 23-10-1.
Cypress Falls High School competed against Tomball in a best-of-three series ending the season with scores of 1-0, 6-1, respectively. Cypress Falls concluded the season with a record of 12-18.
Bridgeland will face the Woodlands in a best-of-three matchup for area round playoffs:
- Game 1 – May 9 at 7 p.m.
- Game 2 – May 10 at 7p.m. at The Woodlands High School (6101 Research Forest Drive); and
- Game 3, if necessary – May 11 at 2 p.m. at Grand Oaks High School (4800 Riley Fuzzel Road).
The Cy-Fair High School baseball team advanced to the area round of playoffs beginning May 9 after winning the District 17-6A, 18-6A Bi-District championship.
In District 17-6A, 18-6A bi-district playoffs, Cy-Fair and Jersey Village high schools defeated Houston Heights and Houston Lamar, respectively.
Cy-Fair defeated Houston Heights in two games, 5-0 and 12-1, respectively, claiming the bi-district champion title. Jersey Village defeated Houston Lamar in games two and three of a best-of-three series with scores of 4-1, 7-3 and 5-3.

Cy-Fair and Jersey Village High Schools will advance to area round playoffs with the following matchups:
- Cy-Fair vs. Katy Tompkins:
- Game 1 – May 9 at 6:30 p.m.
- Game 2 – May 10 at 6:30 p.m at Katy Tompkins High School (4400 Falcon Landing Blvd); and
- Game 3, if necessary – May 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Langham Creek High School (17610 FM 529).
- Jersey Village vs. Katy
