District 16-6A girls’ water polo athletes earn 2023 league honors
Brigeland Ranch High School senior Clara Koenig was voted the District 16-6A girls’ water polo Most Valuable Player.
Nov. 17, 2023—District 16-6A girls’ water polo coaches recently released the 2023 All-District 16-6A Girls’ Water Polo Team, following the conclusion of each team’s season in the UIL playoffs.
Bridgeland High School, which captured its second consecutive league championship, earned three district superlatives.
Bridgeland senior Clara Koenig was named the league’s Most Valuable Player, while fellow senior Hannah Heinrich repeated in being voted Goalkeeper of the Year.
Bridgeland High School senior Hannah Heinrich was voted the District 16-6A girls’ water polo Goalkeeper of the Year for a second consecutive season.
Cypress Park High School Sofia Lopez was named the district’s Newcomer of the Year.
Bridgeland Head Coach Bob Perkins was named Coach of the Year.
