Five CFISD one-act plays advance to bi-district contests
Cy-Fair High School’s UIL One-Act Play, The Cry of the Peacock, was selected to advance to the bi-district competition on March 23 at Bellaire High School. Cy-Fair placed in the top three at the bi-district contest and advances to the area competition on April 12 at San Jacinto College-Central.
April 2, 2024—Five CFISD high school productions were selected from the District 16-6A and District 17-6A UIL One-Act Play competitions on March 20 and 21 to advance to the UIL Bi-District One-Act Play contests.
The following productions from District 16-6A advanced to the bi-district contest:
- Spring Awakening – Bridgeland High School;
- The Old Man & The Old Moon – Cypress Ranch High School; and
- The Importance of Being Earnest – Cypress Woods High School.
The following productions from District 17-6A advanced to the bi-district contest:
- The Cry of the Peacock – Cy-Fair High School; and
- The 39 Steps – Cypress Creek High School.
Bridgeland, Cypress Ranch and Cypress Woods will compete in the UIL Bi-District 15/16 One-Act Play Contest on April 3 at the Berry Center.
