Jersey Village High School junior Daniela Palmeros tied for fourth place in the girls’ UIL Golf State Championship on May 6-7.
May 13, 2024—Student athletes from Bridgeland and Jersey Village high schools competed at the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Golf State Tournament, with Jersey Village junior Daniela Palmeros tying for fourth place in the state tournament.
Palmeros made her third consecutive state appearance, posting a two-round score of 144 (72-72) to earn her top-five finish.
Bridgeland High School senior Jasmine Do earned a top-15 finish at the girls’ UIL Golf State Championship on May 6-7.
Bridgeland senior Jasmine Do also made her third consecutive state appearance. She earned a top-15 finish after posting a two-round score of 156 (79-77).
Bridgeland sophomore Blake Brown made his first state appearance earning a top-10 finish in the boys’ UIL Golf State Championship. He posted a two-round score of 142 (69-73).

“Blake is an extremely hard-working, competitive and talented individual,” said Trent Solsma, Bridgeland golf coach. “To finish in the top 10 in the state tournament as a sophomore is a big accomplishment. I’m happy for Blake and look forward to the next few years that he will have as a Bridgeland Bear.”
