Percussion ensembles advance to state competition

The Cy-Fair High School drumline placed second in the Scholastic World class of the TCGC Percussion & Winds State Championships on April 13 at the Merrell Center. 

April 15, 2024—Indoor percussion ensembles from five CFISD high schools performed at the Texas Color Guard Circuit (TCGC) Percussion & Winds State Championships April 13 at the Merrell Center in Katy.

Cy-Fair High School was CFISD’s highest-ranked campus in the Scholastic World classification, placing second with a score of 90.450. Bridgeland High School placed third in the same class with a score of 89.925, and Cypress Park High School placed fourth with a score of 85.425.

Cypress Ranch High School placed second in the Scholastic Open classification with a score of 89.175.

Cypress Springs High School competed in the Scholastic A classification, placing 13th with a score of 79.538.
