Jan. 24, 2024—CFISD welcomed 47 teams from the Greater Houston area to compete in the Bridgeland High School VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) Over Under Open on Jan. 20 at the Berry Center.
Three CFISD robotics teams earned awards in the competition, while two of them qualified for the Texas VRC High School Region 3 Championship.
Bridgeland High School team No. 77786B, nOSHA, won the Excellence Award, the highest judges award given out at the tournament, to qualify for regionals. Team members are Thad Rauch, Joshua Holmes, Robert Mock, Stephen (Wyatt) Conger and Donovan Bechi. The team adviser is Devin Murphy.

The Texas VRC High School Region 3 Championship will be held Feb. 23-24 at the Learner Support Center in Clear Creek ISD.
